July 13, 2013 Dumpster Day
Our 2013 Dumpster Day will be held on July 13 in the Kingdom Square parking lot (600 Burton St. SE) from 8 am to 12 pm. The event is open to all residents of Garfield Park neighborhood.
Some items you should be aware of:
-Have identification that you live in Garfield Park; it will be checked at the entrance.
-Recycling for the following products will be available: Metal, electronics, cardboard/plastic
-Help your neighbors bring trash if you can. If you need help with something in your house, please contact GPNA and we will attempt to find volunteers to assist you.
-Hazardous materials such as oil, gas, tires, paint, hot ashes, or acid will not be collected.
-No Yard Waste will be accepted.
-Don’t publicize this beyond your area.
-Major appliances will be accepted. Major appliances include: refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and water heaters.
-Appliances must be free of trash on the inside. Especially Refrigerators! Remove all doors from refrigerators and freezers.
FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED – When the dumpsters are full, no more trash will be accepted.
Dumpster Day is free. GPNA suggests a $10 donation to support our work in the neighborhood.
2013 Arts and Craft Fair

The 2013 Fair will be our 40th Annual Fair. In addition to the Great Exhibitors selling a large varieties of hand made items. There will be a Children's Play area provided by the Kroc Center (bounce hut, face painting and much more), Musical Entertainment, and Great Food!
Support GPNA by coming by the Fair and place a bid in our Silent Auction. All items are hand made and donated by our exhibitors. There will be many food booths.
The Arts and Crafts Fair is far and away the largest fundraiser for the Garfield Parks Neighborhoods Association. GPNA's territory covers over 5000 households and much of the good work of the GPNA staff would not be possible without the Arts & Crafts Fair.
